HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 34-year-old Victorville man was airlifted to a trauma center following an early morning rollover crash on the I-15 freeway here Wednesday.
At about 8:00 am, a 79-year-old Victorville woman was driving a silver Honda Civic south on the I-15 approaching the Main Street off-ramp in Hesperia.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Michael Mumford, “she was driving her vehicle with the left rear tire was flat which caused her vehicle to rotate from side to side out of control before she ultimately overturned onto the right shoulder.”
The vehicle came to rest on its roof inside a drainage culvert along the right shoulder of the freeway off-ramp.
According to scanner traffic reports, firefighters with San Bernardino County Fire responded and extricated the male passenger from the overturned vehicle. The male passenger was complaining of pain to his back and was flown to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
The driver was transported by ground to Victor Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
