VICTORVILLE, CALIF. (VVNG.com) A man was arrested after he was accused of shooting his brother in the stomach Monday afternoon.
At around 12 pm, deputies received a call from staff at Victor Valley Global Medical Center regarding a man with a gunshot wound.
When deputies arrived at the hospital they learned the shooting occurred at the victim’s apartment located in the 15000 block of Culley Street.
Deputies surrounded the apartment, but the suspect had fled on foot.
The Sheriff’s helicopter performed an area search but was unsuccessful until a witness called dispatch and said they saw the possible suspect enter a nearby residence.
When deputies made entry into the home, located on Joshua Street, the man suspected of shooting his brother was located and taken into custody without incident.
The victim was transported by Mercy Air’s medical helicopter to a trauma center and his condition remains unknown.
