Victorville man, 37, arrested after “physically punishing” 7-year-old

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 37-year-old man from Victorville is being held on a $1 million bail and facing Child Cruelty charges after he physically punished a child, officials said.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said, The suspect, Troy Frank, was arrested as a result of an investigation into him physically punishing a 7-year old child, known to him, resulting in harm to the child.
According to jail logs, Troy James Frank was arrested on February 9, 2020, in the 12800 block of Second Avenue in Victorville.
He’s charged with PC273A(A) Child Cruelty : Possible Injury or Death and is being held at High Desert Detention Center on a $1 million bail. His preliminary arraignment is scheduled for arraignment on February 11, 2020.
Sheriff’s officials did not comment on the relationship between the victim and the suspect.
The case is ongoing and no other details were available for release.
