Victorville man, 31, arrested for attempted murder in connection to July shooting

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) A 31-year-old Victorville man was arrested for attempted murder after shooting another man multiple times, officials said.

Anthony Michael Carrillo was taken into custody August 1st after he was located by the Victorville Police Department’s Gang Enforcement Team in the 300 block of S. Mountain Avenue, in Ontario.

On July 16, 2017, a man called 911 saying he had been shot multiple times in the area of Daisy Road and Sierra Road in the unincorporated area of Victorville.

When deputies arrived, they located a 35-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

“The circumstances leading to the shooting were not clear but deputies were able to determine the two knew each other,” stated sheriff’s officials in a news release.

A source close to the victim told Victor Valley News, the victim remains in critical condition and possibly paralyzed as a result of being shot over a dozen times.

Carrillo was booked into West Valley Detention Center for attempted murder, as well as an outstanding warrant. He is scheduled to be arraigned in a Victorville court room on August 10th.
