Victorville Low Cost Dog Microchip Clinic

Victorville: The City of Victorville Animal Care & Control Division and the Victor Valley Animal Protective League are offering a low cost dog microchip clinic on Saturday, February 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the City of Victorville Public Works Yard located at 14177 McArt Road, Victorville.

The Microchip Clinic is for dogs currently licensed in the City of Victorville. The first 100 licensed dogs
will receive the microchip for the low cost of $6.00. After the first 100 dogs, the cost per microchip will be $10.00. This is a cash only event, and all dogs must be crated or leashed and under the control of an adult.

Microchips are about the size of a grain of rice and are inserted under the skin with a simple shot and unlike tags and collars, they cannot be lost or removed. Microchips can quickly help identify an owner when a pet is lost and ends up at a shelter.

In addition to the low cost microchips, the City of Victorville will be giving away $50 spay/neuter vouchers to the first 100 dogs currently licensed in the City of Victorville.

Coupons for $5 Rabies Shots at Victor Valley Animal Protective League will also be available to the first 100 dogs currently licensed in the City of Victorville.

City of Victorville Animal Care and Control and Victor Valley Animal Protection League will offer
one more microchip clinics on April 5, 2014.
