Victorville Kohl’s evacuated and closed after fire

VICTORVILLE, Calif.( VVNG.com) A fire that began behind Kohl’s caused the store to be evacuated when smoke entered the building.

At approximately 7:25 p.m. Sunday, San Bernardino County Freighters responded to the business at 14305 Bear Valley Road after reports of a fire.

When fire personnel arrived on scene, they found a trash compactor behind the building was on fire, Public Information Officer Ryan Vicarro stated.

The store was then evacuated and closed after light smoke entered the building. Employees propped open the doors with chairs to allow the building to ventilate.

It’s not yet known how long the store will remain closed for.
