Victorville Gang Team Busts Two Convicted Felons, Recovers Illegal Ghost Gun During Search Warrant

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Two convicted felons were arrested after a firearms investigation led San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies to an Apple Valley home where they recovered an illegally possessed handgun and large-capacity magazines.
The investigation began on Thursday, June 25, when deputies assigned to the Victorville City Gang Impact Team (VCGIT) conducted an investigation into the illegal possession of firearms by 36-year-old Robert Guillebeau of Los Angeles.
The investigation led deputies to serve a search warrant at a residence in the 21300 block of Nisqually Road in Apple Valley at about 8:15 p.m.
During the search, deputies contacted 46-year-old Ronaldo Monroe of Pomona. According to the written statement, Monroe was found in possession of a privately manufactured Polymer 80 handgun, commonly known as a ghost gun, along with a 30-round large-capacity magazine and a 15-round large-capacity magazine.
Deputies determined that both Monroe and Guillebeau are convicted felons who are prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under California law.
Both men were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center on felony charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and possession of a large-capacity magazine.
“The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department remains committed to proactively investigating illegal firearm possession and holding prohibited persons accountable,” the department said in its written statement. “Through targeted enforcement and proactive investigations, the Victorville Gang Impact Team continues to remove illegal firearms from our communities, reduce violent crime, and enhance public safety.”
