Victorville firefighters respond to a house fire Wednesday afternoon

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Firefighters were called to a house fire near the Mall of Victor Valley in Victorville.

At about 1:10 pm dispatch received reports of a bedroom on fire at a home in the 14600 block of Oak Branch Road.

Samantha Sepulveda was live on Facebook from the scene of the fire and said the homeowner and his dogs were able to safely exit the home.

When firefighters arrived on scene they located the two-story home with thick black smoke billowing from a 2nd story bedroom.

Fire crews issued a life hazard alert due to a pool in the backyard.

One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

The official cause of the fire is under investigation.
