Victorville father and son arrested on drug charges during traffic stop in AZ

AZDPS arrested three suspects after large drug finds during two traffic stops on I-40 near Holbrook

Navajo County, Arizona — Two separate traffic stops in northern Arizona resulted in the seizure of $4.5 million in drugs and the arrest of three people, two of them a father and son from Victorville, CA.

Both vehicle-inspections were conducted on August 11, 2019, along the eastbound I-40 near the city of Holbrook, according to a Department of Public Safety (DPS) news release.

The first stop happened at 8:22 am at milepost 294, eight miles northeast of Holbrook.

“The trooper conducted a search and discovered 376 lbs. of cocaine, 40 lbs. of methamphetamine, and two firearms. A 2011 Dodge 3500 truck and $4,414 in U.S. currency were also seized,” officials said.

The driver and passenger, father and son, identified as Vincent M. Rowe, 48, and Vincent M. Rowe Jr., 19, were arrested and booked into the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office Jail for:

•    Possession of dangerous drugs
•    Possession of dangerous drugs for sale
•    Transportation of dangerous drugs for sale
•    Possession of a narcotic drug
•    Possession of a narcotic drug for sale
•    Transportation of a narcotic drug for sale

The second traffic stop was conducted at 6:37 pm on the eastbound I-40 at milepost 282, four miles west of Holbrook. Following a positive K-9 alert on the vehicle, a search revealed 11.8 lbs. of cocaine.

The suspect/driver, 42-year-old Damiano Oando Rowe of Fontana, California, was arrested and booked into the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office Jail for:
•    Possession of a narcotic drug
•    Transportation of a narcotic drug
•    Possession of a narcotic drug for sale
