VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Three document gang members were arrested in Victorville after deputies linked one of them to a residential burglary in Victorville.
It happened on February 13, 2019, in the 12000 block of Santa Fe Trail. Deputies responded to the residence after receiving reports of a robbery, officials said.
According to a sheriff’s news release, the suspect took $300 from the victim and fled the location.
“Through investigation, the suspect was identified as 30-year-old Richard Flores. Flores is a documented gang member out of San Bernardino and was already wanted on a probation violation. He was also identified as the suspect in a dangerous pursuit in Hesperia on February 10th,” stated the news release.
During that incident, deputies attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the area of Main Street and Cottonwood Avenue.The driver refused to yield, leading officers on a wild high-speed pursuit that reached speeds over 100mph and went airborne through intersections, officials said.
Deputies called off the pursuit based on the risk it posed to the public.
The vehicle was later found abandoned and deputies were able to identify Flores as the driver.
On February 15, 2019, deputies from the Victorville Gang Team received information Flores was in the area of Winona and Eleventh in the City of Victorville.
Deputies conducted surveillance at the Mountain Vista Apartments in the 15400 block of Nisqualli Road and spotted Flores in the parking lot where they arrested without incident.
Two other subjects seen with Flores were detained after they left the area in a vehicle. The driver was identified as Christopher Mena, 37 years old, a parolee and documented gang member who was just released from prison, and the passenger was identified as Raul Hernandez, 36 years old.
Two handguns were in the car and both subjects were arrested.
Flores, Hernandez and Mena were all booked into the High Desert Detention Center on various felonies.
Richard Flores- Probation violation, possession of stolen property, felony evading, burglary and robbery
Christopher Mena- Parole violation, felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition
Raul Hernandez- Felon in possession of a firearm
