Victorville City temporarily suspending utility shutoffs due to Covid-19

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The City of Victorville announced it’s assisting residents during the coronavirus outbreak by temporarily suspending service disconnects on customer’s accounts.
“During these difficult times, we are temporarily suspending utility shutoffs and late fees for non-payment until further notice. Essential services provided by the City of Victorville such as water (and electricity and gas in some areas) will remain connected for both residential and commercial customers,” stated city officials on Friday afternoon.
On March 19, California Governor, Gavin Newsom issued a Stay at Home Order for all Californians which bans all gatherings and directs the closure of all businesses that aren’t essential to the continuity of our nation’s infrastructure.
“We urge everyone to comply with all federal, state and county orders that have been instituted as a way to reduce the spread of COVID-19,” stated City officials.
