Victorville City Library Goes Live with Public Wireless Access

VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com) – The Victorville City Library recently received an upgrade and is now offering free public wireless access.

This is the most recent upgrade to the City’s library services. In early 2014, the City Library received an upgrade to offer free hi-speed internet as well as free WiFi to its patrons.

The Victorville City Library technology center contains 19 public computers that patrons can use for up to two hours each day. An additional 10 computers outside of the technology center are also available to the public. All of the computers are equipped with standard office applications, and all were recently upgraded with free high-speed Internet access.

Library patrons can reserve their time in the computer center for two hours. Patrons are required to have a valid Victorville City Library card or a San Bernardino County Library card to use the computer center. Victorville City Library cards are free; however there is a $2.00 replacement fee for lost cards. A valid photo identification and proof of a physical mailing address are all that is required.

Also free to the public are a variety of computer classes in English as well as Spanish. Beginning to intermediate level classes are held each Friday and Saturday from 9:00 – 11:30 am. Beginning level classes in Spanish are held each Monday from 9:00 – 11:30 am. Space is limited so please call to save a seat!
