Victor Valley under Excessive Heat Warning until Monday

VICTOR VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The Victor Valley has been added to a list of areas under an Excessive Heat Warning.

According to the National Weather Service, San Diego office, the Excessive Heat Warning advisories are in effect from 10:00 am this morning through 8:00 pm Monday.

The heat will continue this weekend and into early next week, with the hottest days on Sunday and Monday.

Temperatures in Victorville are forecasted to reach 103 degrees on Saturday.

People are encouraged to avoid outdoor activities and stay hydrated.

The cumulative effects of several days of hot weather may cause heat exhaustion for those not prepared for excessive heat or for those who are active outdoors during the day.

As a reminder, young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
