Victor Valley Residents Warned of Freezing Temperatures Overnight

VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): The National Weather Service (NWS) said that a freeze warning will be in effect from 1:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17th. Areas include Helendale, Victorville, Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley. Due to the cold airmass over the region, the NWS said that temperature is expected to drop from the mid to upper 20’s.
Frost can damage or kill sensitive outdoor plants and crops. Although pets have varying tolerance to cold temperatures depending on age, health, body weight and activity caution should exercised with pet allowing them to be indoors. Pets, despite their fur covered bodies are susceptible to frostbite, hypothermia and complications to other preexisting conditions such as arthritis.
Warmer and less windy weather is expected for Wednesday, with highs forecasted at about 69 degrees and overnight lows of 38 degrees.
