Victor Valley residents report a brief power surge/outage Tuesday afternoon

VICTOR VALLEY, Calif. ( — Residents from all around the Victor Valley said they experienced either a brief power outage or a surge Tuesday afternoon.

At about 4:10 pm, on July 23, 2019, people from Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, and Lucerne Valley reported experiencing a quick flicker that caused things like TVs and ACs to shutoff.

Linda Walker, a resident of Apple Valley said her AC unit went to low voltage, then a surge followed by a brief off and on.

Dawn Mills said all of her lights dimmed and a couple of them even blew. The computer and gaming systems all went off, she said.

There’s no official info yet on what the cause was.
