VICTOR VALLEY – The latest Nintendo Entertainment System better known as the NES Classic Edition went on sale today. Residents from all over the Victor Valley waited in long lines to get their hands on the new NES.
The Hesperia Target located at 12795 Main Street in the High Desert Gateway shopping center had a line wrapped around the building prior to the store opening.
A Target representative told Victor Valley News they only received a shipment of 18 devices. “We sold out within the first five minutes and there is no set date on when we will get any more shipments, stated the rep. Melissa.
The popular game system that retails for $59.99 has sold out everywhere, according to Wired.com.
Nintendo released a statement via the companies Twitter account:
The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system is a hot item, and we are working hard to keep up with consumer demand. There will be a steady flow of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the new year. Please contact your local retailers to check availability. If you absolutely can’t wait to get your hand on the popular device, you can buy one at places like Ebay or OfferUp. WARNING be prepared to pay an outlandish marked up price.
