VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Veronica Correa, 52, has died from injuries she suffered in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in a Victorville residential neighborhood last month, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
The crash occurred at approximately 9 a.m. on May 31, 2026, when a dark gray 2007 Honda Accord and a gray Toyota Tundra collided in the number one southbound lane of Eleventh Avenue at the intersection of Cypress Avenue.
Following the impact, the Honda Accord sustained catastrophic driver’s-side damage, left the roadway, knocked down a section of chain-link fencing, and came to rest partially inside the front yard of a corner residence.
Deputies from the Victorville Police Station, along with personnel from the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found Correa trapped inside the heavily damaged Honda Accord. After firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate her from the wreckage, she was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center and later airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center with major injuries.
Correa died on June 4, 2026, while receiving treatment at Loma Linda University Medical Center, according to records from the coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Toyota Tundra, an adult male Victorville resident, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team responded and conducted the investigation. Eleventh Avenue between Lone Eagle Street and Hickory Avenue was closed for several hours.

Authorities have not released information regarding the direction of travel of either vehicle, and investigators have not publicly identified the cause of the collision.
A GoFundMe campaign titled “In Loving Memory of Vero” was launched by Evennie Rodriguez to help Correa’s family with funeral and memorial expenses. According to the organizer, the fundraiser was originally created while family members were “holding onto hope and praying for a miracle” as Correa fought for her life following the crash.
Following her death, the campaign was updated to assist with funeral costs and other unexpected expenses. Rodriguez wrote that “our beloved tia Vero has passed away after succumbing to the injuries she sustained in her accident.”
The organizer described Correa as “truly the life of the party” who had a way of “making everyone laugh, bringing people together, and filling every room with warmth, joy, and energy.” Rodriguez also wrote that Correa was “funny, compassionate, and always willing to help anyone in need without hesitation,” adding that her love for family and friends was evident in everything she did.
“Our hearts are broken, and life will never be the same without her,” Rodriguez wrote. “We will forever cherish the laughter, love, and beautiful memories she gave us.” The fundraiser thanks supporters for their continued prayers, donations, and encouragement, describing Correa as “Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.”
