HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A small business in Hesperia is asking for community support after a driver crashed into its storefront and fled the scene, leaving behind major damage and financial hardship.
The incident happened at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2026, at Honest Earth Crystals, located at 11849 Hesperia Road in the city of Hesperia.
Sheriff’s officials confirmed the crash is being investigated as a hit-and-run. The driver fled before deputies arrived, and no suspect has been identified publicly at this time.
According to a public statement from the business, the owners were alerted by their security system and rushed to the shop. “At around 1am we got a notification on our cameras, went to the store to find out the devastating news that someone had driven INTO our shop,” they stated. The damage left the small business reeling.
“This is a huge loss for our business,” they continued. “We knew when getting the brick and mortar that it would be a while before we actually started seeing a profit with our business, but in this week alone it seems the costs just keep piling up.”
To assist with repairs, a neighboring business launched a GoFundMe campaign titled “Rebuild Honest Earth Storefront”. According to the GoFundMe organizer, “We are a small business helping our fellow small business owners. Our store neighbor, Honest Earth Crystals, had someone crash their car into their storefront. The people fled the scene and left the devastation.”
The campaign aims to raise funds to help cover the cost of repairs. “This small business is starting out and needs our community help. We are asking for any help to repair Honest Earth’s storefront. All proceeds will be used to assist in helping Honest Earth get their storefront repaired,” the fundraiser states.
Honest Earth Crystals also encouraged customers to continue supporting their business by shopping online at honest-earth.square.site or referring them to others. “If you can’t shop at our store now, please refer our store to a friend who could! If you can’t do that, please just send prayers and positivity our way so that we can get this fixed, and go on to being the coziest crystal shop in the high desert.”
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
