CAJON PASS:(VVNG.com)- Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on the northbound 15 freeway approximately 2 miles before the Oak Hill exit. The vehicle fire was reported at 1:42 P.M., on Saturday, June 20, 2015.

Per CHP logs, two women were seen standing away from the vehicle stopped along the right shoulder.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a silver Nissan Versa fully engulfed. A Medic engine and a Forrest service engine were able to put the fire out.

The fire is believed to have started in the engine compartment of the vehicle. No injuries were reported and there was no threat to the nearby vegetation.

A tow truck has been requested to remove the vehicle from the roadway. Although the fire is out, the incident is causing traffic to slow down through the area.
