HESPERIA:(VVNG.com)- Residents in the area of Locust Avenue and Riverside Street in Hesperia have lost power after a vehicle collided into a utility pole.
The incident was reported just before 8:00 A.M., on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
When first responders arrived on-scene, they found the power pole down, arching and sparking onto nearby homes.
Per scanner traffic, Locust is shut down between Mojave and Riverside. Public works has been requested to assist with hard road closures in the area.
The traffic signal at Cottonwood and Main Street is out in all directions.
At this time the cause of the accident is unknown and no injuries have been reported. Southern California Edison is enroute to assess the damage. No information on how many people are currently without power was immediately available.
