The collision caused the light pole to fall over into oncoming traffic and struck a second vehicle. The light pole landed directly on top of a Mitsubishi that was traveling in the opposite direction at the time of the impact.
Due to the weight of the light pole and impact it caused the windows on the Mitsubishi to shatter and partially cave in the roof of the vehicle.
Drivers in the area used caution as the light pole remained laying across the south bound lanes on Cobalt road. Public works and Southern California Edison have been requested to help with the clean up.
The incident was reported at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday. It’s insure if any injuries were reported.
