Vehicle Crashes into Fratelli’s Pizza; Suspects Flee the Scene

HELENDALE-(VVNG.com): A vehicle slammed into a popular Helendale restaurant on Saturday night. At around 10:30 p.m. deputies from the Victor Valley Station were dispatched to the Fratelli’s Pizza restaurant located at 15065 Vista Road.
Upon arrival deputies located a green Chevy Suburban that crashed into the restaurant taking out a pillar, and causing major damage. The suspect or suspects were gone upon deputy’s arrival. Ground and air units searched for the suspect(s) but were unable to locate them as of Sunday morning. No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
Deputies made contact with a family member of the Helendale resident that is the past owner of the Suburban, who told Victor Valley News that she sold the vehicle in the summer of 2015. After the sale, the vehicle was never registered in the new owners name making it difficult for deputies to quickly locate the person responsible for the collision.
