Upcoming Freeway Ramp Closures in the Victor Valley

VICTOR VALLEY-(VVNG.com): Over the past several days High Desert residents have noticed bright orange signs posted at various freeway entrances. The signs read “Notice this ramp will be closed temporarily”.

Caltrans officials told Victor Valley News on Tuesday that the I-15 northbound on-ramp at Main Street and Palmdale Road will be experiencing closures due to a “fog seal, paving and striping operation”.

These closures will be sometime between October and December. “The closures will not be in effect this week, they will just be sometime during that time frame”, said Caltrans spokesman Phillip Hivins.

The hours for overnight operations will be from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday. Daytime hours will be between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on weekdays only. During closures, drivers can use the Mojave Drive, Bear Valley Road or Ranchero Road on-ramps to the I-15 North.

“The work will be a total of 80 working days, but they are not going to be at one particular location, they will just be there as long as they need to,” added Hivins. Hivins said today crews are working on the #3 lanes between Stoddard Wells and Lenwood Roads until 5:00 p.m. this evening as part of the Fog Seal Project.
