VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): Two Victorville men were sentenced to over 13 years in state prison on Friday, July 10, 2015 for a November 2012 attack on a Victorville man.
The father and son duo, attacked the man with crowbar, sprayed an unknown chemical on him then continued to set him on fire.
Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Victorville Station responded to a November 6, 2012 call to a home in the 14000 block of Tom Court in Victorville. They arrived to the man who was severely injured and upon investigation they later learned that the assailants were Gildardo Camacho, 48, and his son, Jesus Camacho, 24.
The man was airlifted and treated at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton where he was eventually released.
Both men pleaded guilty to charges of attempted murder and burglary as part of a plea bargain to drop the five additional charges that they were facing. Both men have credit for just over 3 years of time served, which includes conduct credit. The remainder of their sentence will be served at the California Department of Corrections at Chino.
