APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) —Authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people early Wednesday morning.
The crash was reported at about 1:55 am at the intersection of Bear Valley and Reata Roads and involved a single-vehicle.
Firefighters with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District arrived on scene and located the blue sedan, described as a late model BMW, with major damage after it crashed into a pole at a high-rate-of-speed.
The driver and passenger were both pronounced deceased on scene.
Prelimanary investigations suggests the driver was traveling westbound on Bear Valley Road when for unknown reasons the driver lost control and struck the pole.
Bear Valley Road was closed between Reata and Apple Valley Roads for nearly 5 hours for an investigation.
