Two Injured in Truck Vs. Motorcycle Traffic Collision

VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): A motorcycle rider was airlifted following a traffic collision with a pickup truck on Bear Valley Road near Amethyst Road.
The driver of the truck, a 21-year-old female, was driving the pick-up truck southbound on Amethyst. The female driver attempted to make a left-hand turn into the Stater Brothers parking lot, turning in front of 23-year-old Brandon Gardner who was riding his motorcycle northbound on Amethyst. The turn caused Gardner to collide into the side of the truck. He was thrown approximately 15 feet from his motorcycle into the #2 northbound lane of traffic.
Garner, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was subsequently airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Garner reportedly was placed on a medically induced coma with injuries consisting of a fractured neck, fractured ribs, and road rash. According to family, Garner is now awake and although in a lot of pain is recovering from his injuries.
The 21-year-old driver of the truck was transported to Desert Valley hospital with undisclosed injuries.
