Two Female Suspects Wanted in Fraudulent Check Scheme

Deputies are asking the public for assistance in identifying two females who have been cashing fraudulent checks at two High Desert banks located at 16990 Bear Valley RD Victorville / 19095 Bear Valley RD Apple Valley.
The suspects have been targeting Bank of America customers as they are exiting the building. They ask the customer to cash a check for about $5000 and provide them with a story as to why they cannot cash the check on their own. The customer then cashes the check and gives the money to the suspect.
A few days later the bank discovers the checks are fraudulent and debits the money from the customers account.
Suspect 1 has been described as a black female about 18 years old, 5’03” 105 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Suspect 2 has been described as a black female 30-35 years old.
