Two Arrested in San Jacinto Chop Shop

The San Jacinto Police Department received a report of a utility truck stolen from the driveway of a residence on the 1200 block of Avenida Rosa on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at approximately 12:30AM.
According to the victim, the truck contained Ericsson cellular tower components valued at $135,000.00.
A short time later the utility truck was recovered near the 400 block of 5th street in San Jacinto.
San Jacinto investigators assumed the investigation which led them to a nearby residence near the same area where the stolen utility truck was recovered earlier in the day.
According to a press release, investigators were lead to a near by residence and discovered 45-year-old Jose Antonio Martinez Perez, dismantling a stolen vehicle in the backyard of the residence.
Investigators also located the stolen cellular tower components in a nearby storage unit belonging to 29-year-old, William Harris. The same storage unit contained another stolen vehicle.
During the course of this investigation, three stolen vehicles and cellular tower components were recovered.
Jose Antonio Martinez Perez and William Harris were arrested for receiving stolen property and transported to the Larry Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
