Two Arrested in Residential Burglary

Two suspects have been arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino on Conspiracy and Burglary charges.

According to a news release, On January 21, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. deputies from the Highland Station responded to the 28000 Block of Beattie St. in the city of Highland reference a report of a residential burglary.

Upon arrival officers discovered the suspects had already fled the area in an unknown vehicle.

Officers received some information from the public regarding a potential suspect vehicle and license plate number. Deputies responded to the registered owners address located in the 1800 block of Universal St. in the city of San Bernardino.

At the residence, deputies located suspect Camille Sumpter, 23, San Bernardino. Sumpter’s vehicle was also located along with stolen property from the reported burglary.

Through additional investigation, deputies identified Joshua Castillo, 22, San Bernardino as a second burglary suspect.

Search warrants were executed at the suspect’s residences and additional property was located, linking the couple to several recent burglaries in the Highland area, according to the release.
