Truck Driver Loses 42K Pound Trailer on Palmdale Road

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) A trucker was shocked when he looked back and noticed his 42,000-pound trailer detached from his truck.
The trucker named Desmond told Victor Valley News that he pulled out of a business and headed east on Palmdale Road.
The driver stated he left his truck for a couple days at a repair shop located in the 12700 block of Palmdale Road in Victorville.
“As soon as I turned out of the parking lot, I noticed my air was kind of low and figured it would pick up when I started driving,” Desmond said.
Desmond pulled out of the repair yard and made a right turn onto Palmdale Road. As he turned the trailer unhitched and fell in the no.1 lane on Palmdale Road.
The cross bars underneath the trailer were crushed due to the weight of the trailer.
“I’ve been doing this for 18 years and this has never happened,” stated Desmond. “Someone had to of gone in that yard and messed with my truck.”
Eastbound traffic on Palmdale Road was reduced down to 1 lane while authorities worked to remove the trailer.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
