Transient arrested after throwing a trash can at a gas station employee in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 34-year-old transient was arrested after throwing a large trash can at an employee working at a gas station in Victorville.

On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies from the Victorville station responded to the business located at the corner of Kentwood Blvd and Palmdale Road for a male suspect who was fighting with an employee. 

Upon arrival, deputies learned the male suspect, identified as Charles Moore, became aggressive after being asked to leave because he was harassing customers and staff.

“Moore became aggressive with a store employee during the verbal dispute. Moore physically assaulted the victim/employee and threw a large plastic trash can at him causing the door to the business to break,” stated sheriff’s officials.  

Charles Moore was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 245(A)(4)- Assault w/Force Possibly Causing Great Bodily Injury, and P.C. 594(B)(1)- Vandalism, and Violation of Post Release Community Supervision.
