Traffic jammed after semi gets stuck under bridge going into Helendale

HELENDALE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — If you’re heading in or out of Helendale, there is a traffic jam.
A semi trailer is lodged under the bridge on National Trails Highway Route 66, the bridge that goes under the railroad by the cement plant, according to Mike Spanos.
“Traffic is backed up bad, people should take Air Expressway to avoid this mess to get back and forth from Helendale,” states Spanos. The incident happened just after 3:30pm.
“No traffic is going through because the truck turned his wheels blocking both directions,” Spanos said.
As of 4 pm, the traffic was backed up to Riverside Prep School.
