VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com)- A two vehicle traffic collision temporarily closed the #2 and #3 lanes of the southbound 15 freeway on Saturday night. The driver of a late model BMW rear ended a Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck hauling a trailer loaded with wood.
According to CHP incident logs, the collision was reported at 10:26 p.m., on Saturday just south of Palmdale Road. Large pieces of wood were scattered throughout multiple lanes of the freeway prompting the temporary lane closures.
The impact of the collision propelled the white colored pick-up truck approximately 100 yards ahead of where the accident occurred. A passenger in the truck was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The male driver of the BMW was not injured.
Traffic was backed up for several miles while CHP cleared the roadway. At this time the exact cause of the accident is unknown. More information will be updated as it becomes available.
