BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com)- A tractor-trailer transporting a load of oranges overturned along eastbound SR-58, Thursday afternoon.
On December 29th at about 12:00 p.m. the CHP Barstow Dispatch Center received a 911 call of a single vehicle collision involving a semi, east of Harper Dry Lake Road west of Barstow.
According to Public Information Officer Adam Carmichall, “for unknown reasons, the tractor-trailer combination vehicle drifted to the right and overturned into the open desert, the south of the roadway. As a result of this collision, the load of citrus fruit was spilled into the desert.”
No injuries were reported and drugs and/or alcohol are not a factor in this collision.
This collision is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Area.
