WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (VVNG.com) The small and peaceful mountain community of Wrightwood was vandalized with graffiti during the Labor Day Holiday.
Sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, several of the town’s small businesses and even a vehicle were tagged using spray paint.
A Wrightwood resident who asked to remain anonymous, was out on her daily morning walk when she started to notice all the tagging and began snapping photos. She later shared the pictures of the tagging to the Wrightwood Facebook group on Monday.
She told Victor Valley News at least seven businesses and one car had been vandalized mostly along Apple Avenue and Cedar Street.
The tagging included “Lambo Chainz,” “We Ride,” and the letters “OOF” all were tagged over doors, signs, and windows in various locations.
A huge “Lamborghini Mercy, yo chick she so thirsty” was tagged using red paint along the side of a building. The words are lyrics from a Kanye West song called Lamborghini Mercy.
Wrightwood residents are feeling upset and annoyed that anyone would do this to their small tight-knit community.
A resident in the Wrightwood Facebook group commented that she’s lived in the area for 35 years and has never seen this. “I was angered and disgusted by the lack of respect,” she said.
At this time it’s unclear how much money it will cost to clean up the damages.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s is investigating the incident, and anyone with information is urged to contact 760-868-1006.
