In August, Rancho Cucamonga Detectives identified the suspects involved and on August 9, 2013 they took Jonathan Wattie,32, from Whittier and Amanda Castro, 22, from Pomona into custody at a trailer park in Rowland Heights.
Detectives recovered a gun and an identification badge issued to a West Covina councilman. West Covina Police detectives were contacted and confirmed their councilman had been robbed by the same suspects the previous evening in his driveway. On Monday, August 12, 2013 Rancho Cucamonga Detectives and Multiple Enforcement Team deputies, partnered with West Covina Police, took Rodney Diondre Morris, 21, from Los Angeles into custody in Los Angeles.
