PHELAN -(VVNG.com)- At approximately 5:40 p.m. on Friday, November 7th, a multi vehicle traffic collision was reported in the area of Palmdale Road and Monte Vista Road in Phelan.

Four-vehicles were involved in the collision and one patient required extrication. At least seven additional victims were reportedly injured and required medical attention. Three airships were requested to transport three of the severely injured to out of area trauma hospitals.
Multiple ambulances were requested to transport those with injuries. The designated landing zone for the airships was set for Desert Trails Elementary School. Two of the airships transported patients to Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda and one transported the patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton. According to witnesses at least one minor was airlifted.
“There is a girl in the floor, a red truck crushed and a red car with a person inside that can’t get out and a white minivan,” said Ariana Segura Valdez in the Victor Valley News group post.
The Major Accident Investigation team is currently processing the accident scene for evidence to determine the exact cause of the collision. Traffic along Palmdale Road between Valley Vista Road and Johnson Road is being detoured down Maplewood Drive. Its unknown how long the hard road closure will be in effect.
There is no further information available at this time, the accident is currently under investigation. Details will be updated as they are released.
