Threat at Victor Valley College believed to not be credible

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A threat posted to social media alleging a shooting at the campus of Victor Valley College has many students and parents concerned.

The threat was allegedly written on a bathroom wall and stated the following:

“If u don’t wanna die 2 day Oct 3rd. leave skool before 2:00 pm. I am gonna kill a lot of people. I have a list, but maybe will kill more (idk yet), and than myself. Good bye. – VVC Killer”

VVC Superintendent-President Roger Wagner issued the following statement:

Dear Campus Community,
I want to let everyone know that yes, there has been a threat made on our campus. We are currently investigating but at this point we do not believe the threat to be credible. We have extra officers on campus and the Sheriffs Department has been notified and is on site.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez told Victor Valley News the sheriff’s department is aware of the threat and working with campus police.

Students are encouraged to continue their regular daily scheduled activities as authorities continue to investigate.
