Sheriff’s spokeswoman Staci Parks told Victor Valley News the victim, a 26-year-old woman and the suspect argued over money owed to the victim.
During the argument, the teen suspect produced a pistol from her purse and threatened to shoot the victim.
The 17-year-old suspect went outside and sat in a vehicle driven by a second suspect, Daniel Jackson (AKA Hall).
“As Jackson drove slowly away the juvenile suspect fired several rounds at the victim. There were approximately 8 children in the front yard at the time of the shooting,” stated Parks.
Deputies investigated and located two impact areas from the bullets on the victim’s vehicle and in the garage door of the residence.
Daniel Jackson is currently being held at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of a $1,00,000.00. bail. The 17-year-old was booked at the High Desert Juvenile Hall.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
