
According to a press release, On Thursday at approximately 7:43 a.m.
“Deputies of the Hesperia Station served a search warrant at a residence in the 9000 block of Peridot Avenue. They were following leads regarding a theft from a local business.
On July, 23 2013 Deputy Andrew Montbriand responded to a jewelry theft at a local business. The owner reported that approximately 40 women’s gold rings had been stolen and their value was over $9000.00. Deputy Montbriand, in the course of his investigation, identified Maurice Webb as a suspect. He secured a search warrant for Webb’s residence. Webb and a male juvenile were located at the Peridot Avenue address with the stolen jewelry.
Webb was arrested and booked at Victor Valley Jail for PC487(a)grand theft and his bail was set at $50,000.00 .
The juvenile was arrested and cite-released to his mother.
Deputy Montbriand recovered all of the stolen jewelry and returned it to the business owner.
This investigation is an ongoing effort by the Sheriff’s Department to protect the communities it serves.”
