Teen airlifted after crash in Hesperia Sunday

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — An 18-year-old teen involved in a traffic collision in Hesperia was flown to a trauma center on Sunday afternoon.
It happened at about 2:11 pm at the intersection of Mauna Loa Street and Cypress Avenue and involved a black Toyota Prius and a white Nissan Maxima.
San Bernardino County Fire responded to the incident and requested a medical helicopter to airlift a male teen driver to a trauma center. He was subsequently airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center with unknown injuries.
An additional ground ambulance was requested to transport a second patient with non-life threatening injuries to a local hospital.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station.
