T-mobile on 7th Street in Victorville robbed, 2 arrested

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Two men were arrested after robbing the T-Mobile on 7th Street in Victorville Saturday.

LaQuinton Bowers, 32, a resident of Victorville, and Darren Jerome Jones, 29, of Los Angeles, were arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for robbery and vandalism on August 10, 2019.

Sheriff’s officials said at about 5:13 pm both men entered the business located in the 14200 block of 7th Street in Victorville.

According to a sheriff’s news release, “the caller reported two black male suspects entered the store and after asking some questions, grabbed several cell phones and smart watches, cut the security devices and fled the store in a black Acura.”

A description of the vehicle was relayed to other local law enforcement agencies. Officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) spotted the vehicle northbound on the 15 Freeway, near Hodge Road. With assistance from deputies at the Barstow Sheriff’s Station, CHP conducted a traffic stop near L Street and the suspects were detained.

All of the stolen property was recovered and returned to the business. A follow-up investigation indicated the Acura was stolen from Huntington Beach.

Bowers and Jones were arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for robbery and vandalism.

Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact Deputy M. Lee at the Victorville Police Department at (760) 241-2911 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 956-5001.
