HESPERIA:(VVNG.com)- Victor Valley residents are invited to attend “a celebration of life well lived”  for a very special dog. Her name is “Sweetheart” and she proudly served in New York one month after 911. She assisted families, police officers, firefighters, military, search and rescue, and citizens throughout the city of Manhattan. Sadly, according to her “furever” owner Charlie, veterinarians have given Sweetheart anywhere from 1 month to 6 months to live. Due to a slow growing cancer that has metastasized her.

The public is invited to come out and meet the amazing Sweetheart! And learn more about the compelling story of a dog that was horribly burned, abandoned and left for dead. Many loving and caring people brought her back to life with donations, well wishes, and a heartfelt need to help. Out of this tragedy arose a delightfully charmed life, dedicated to paying it forward with her Therapy Dog work. Sweetheart has ministered to thousands of people across America and Canada. She brought to all a penetrating awareness of survival, in a time of their desperation and distress. She warmed hearts, lightened souls, and showed them all, no matter what, they can make it too.

Meet:
-Charlie and Sally Brugnola; Sweetheart’s owners and Therapy Dog Facilitators.
-Lucy Cox; Sweetheart’s loving Vet Tech who nursed her through her hospital stay.
