VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): A Victorville man was arrested on Wednesday morning at about 9:30 a.m. after a search was conducted on a home in the 14500 block of Owens Rivers Road.
Jaime Cardenas, 37 of Victorville was suspected of stealing approximately $5,000 in Lottery scratcher tickets.
On July 10th deputies from the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station received a report of a commercial burglary involving stolen Lottery Scratchers in the 16800 block of Main Street. Upon arrival, according to authorities, the front glass door was broken and the inside of the commercial building appeared to be ransacked.
In a collaborative investigation, the San Bernardino County Probation Department and the detectives from the Hesperia Station were able to identified Cardenas as the suspect. Cardenas, who had two prior convictions, also pertaining to the theft of lottery scratchers was arrested without incident. He is now facing two felony and one misdemeanor charge including Burglary, Grand Theft of property over $400 and attempted vandalism.
He is currently being held at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, July 31st.
