APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A suspected DUI driver and multiple occupants of another vehicle were transported to a hospital following a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning at a major Apple Valley intersection.
The crash was reported at approximately 1:47 a.m. on February 8, 2026, at the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Deep Creek Road.
Deputies responded to the scene regarding a two-vehicle traffic collision involving a silver vehicle and a white sedan. Both vehicles sustained major damage, with debris scattered across the roadway.
According to a written statement from sheriff’s spokeswoman Jenny L. Smith, the driver of Vehicle 1 was determined to be driving under the influence and was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries. “Booking will be completed once the driver is medically cleared,” Smith said.

The occupants of Vehicle 2 were also transported to a hospital with injuries described as unknown at the time of the report.
The spokeswoman did not specify which vehicle was designated as Vehicle 1 or Vehicle 2. However, based on a witness statement provided to VVNG, the suspected DUI driver was believed to be the driver of the silver vehicle.
A witness at the scene told VVNG that employees from a nearby gas station rushed to help victims immediately after the crash.
The witness said employees assisted in pulling a woman from the white vehicle and also removed a car seat from inside the vehicle.
Both vehicles sustained major damage in the collision. Photos from the scene show the silver vehicle suffered catastrophic front-end damage, with much of the engine compartment torn away from the rest of the car. The front portion appeared completely detached, resting several feet away from the remaining passenger compartment amid scattered debris.
The incident remains under investigation, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
