APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities arrested a 42-year-old wanted murder suspect in Apple Valley Friday night.
The suspect, David Victor Wood, was taken into custody on September 20, 2019, at a house in the 21800 block of Cherokee Avenue.
Authorities have been searching for Wood’s since he allegedly shot and killed 45-year-old Shane Walker, outside the Fairway Manor Apartments in the 16100 block of Pebble Beach Drive in Victorville.
On September 14, 2019, at 7:16 pm sheriff’s dispatch received a call of a possible traffic collision involving a motorcycle.
According to a sheriff’s news release, deputies and paramedics responded and discovered the motorcycle rider had been shot.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim did not survive. Deputies secured the crime scene which encompassed a large area of the apartment complex parking lot. Homicide detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department -Specialized Investigation Division responded and assumed the investigation.
According to public arrest records, Wood’s is being held on a $1 Million dollar bail for PC187(A) Murder. A pre-preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 24th.
