Suspect arrested for residential burglary

On May 21, 2013, at approximately 2:49pm, deputies received a 911 call of a residential burglary in progress in the 11800 block of Lebec in Phelan. According to the caller, He found the back door of a friends residence kicked in and the alarm was going off. He was unaware if anyone was still inside the residence and pulled down the street at a safe distance where he could still see the residence and be a good witness. The witness was also able to provide a description of the suspect.

When deputies arrived they found damage to the back door of the residence and the house had been ransacked. Deputies were able to locate shoe prints in the dirt and tracked the suspect to his residence over ½ mile away. Beau Newbiggin was contacted at his residence. His clothing matched the description given by the witness. The soles of his shoes matched the shoe tracks deputies followed from the victim’s residence to his.

Beau Newbiggin was arrested and booked at the Victor Valley Jail. He is currently being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
