Suspect Arrested After Breaking Into Victorville Home and Stabbing Two People in Apparent Random Attack

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 36-year-old transient was arrested early Monday after deputies say he broke into a Victorville home and stabbed two people in an apparent random attack.

Deputies from the Victorville Police Station responded at approximately 12:34 a.m. on Monday, July 6, to a reported stabbing in the 14000 block of Brucite Road.

According to the written statement, Willie McGuire broke a window at the residence for unknown reasons. When the homeowner opened the front door, McGuire allegedly entered the home without permission and assaulted the adult occupants.

During the altercation, McGuire armed himself with a box cutter and stabbed two adult victims. Investigators said the victims and homeowner did not know McGuire prior to the incident, and the motive for the attack remains unknown.

When deputies arrived, McGuire attempted to flee but was pursued and taken into custody without further incident, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The two victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately available.

McGuire was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
