UPDATE: 5/1 @ 3:00 PM- After being trapped inside the elevator for over an hour. All students were safely released from the elevator shortly after 3:00 P.M. According to a witness at the scene, all the students were male and part of a computer club.
VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com)- Firefighters responded to a call of students trapped inside an elevator at Victor Valley College.
Per scanner traffic, 8 students were stuck inside the elevator behind the gym.
The incident was reported at approximately 2:00 P.M., on Friday, May 1, 2015.
According to officials at the scene, several students jumping up and down inside caused the elevator to become stuck.
As of 2:30 P.M., the students remained trapped inside the elevator. Worried parents have started to show up hoping to get more information.
An elevator technician has been requested to assist in freeing the trapped students.
