
ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) Authorities arrested a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with an attempted strong arm robbery that sent one victim to a hospital.
On Wednesday, February 1, 2017, the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station in Adelanto received reports of a robbery which occurred in the area of Daisy Road and Joshua Road in the city of Adelanto.
Deputy Eric Blackard made contact with the victim and witnesses who said they were walking home from school when the suspect approached the victim and demanded property.
“When the victim refused to give up property the suspect began hitting the victim in the head. The victim fell to the ground, and the suspect kicked the victim in the head,” Authorities stated.
When the suspect fled, friends of the victim were able to assist him getting home. The injured victim was then transported to an area hospital for treatment.
“Friend’s of the victim were able to identify the suspect, who was located and arrested. The male juvenile was booked at High Desert Juvenile Detention Center on charges of attempted robbery,” said officials.
